Legal Aid Accounts
We are able to prepare Criminal and Civil Advice and Assistance and ABWOR Accounts, Criminal (Summary and Solemn) Legal Aid Accounts, Civil (Detailed and Block Fee) Legal Aid Accounts, Children’s Advice and Assistance and ABWOR Accounts, Children’s Legal Aid Accounts, Child Welfare Report Accounts, AWI Accounts and MHTS Accounts. With your permission we can prepare all accounts using the Legal Aid Online (LAOL) system should you wish. We are also able to assist you in dealing with the Scottish Legal Aid Board (SLAB) in relation to account abatements, adjustments and taxation if necessary.
Private Client Accounts
We can undertake the Fee Assessment of all your Private Client business in respect of Court work, Tribunals, General Business and Conveyancing. Our many years of experience enable us to assess a “fair and reasonable” level of fee and to give an accurate assessment of any additional responsibility element applicable in terms of the Law Society’s guidelines.
Judicial Accounts & Taxation
Grieve & Co have many years of experience in the preparation of Judicial Accounts for proceedings in the Court of Session and Sheriff Court. We aim to maximise the recovery of Judicial Expenses on your Clients’ behalf and will utilise our considerable experience to assess the most remunerative method of charging, be that on a block fee or detailed basis. We can also assist with adjustment of Judicial Accounts and representation at Taxation.

Executry, Probate, Trust and Power of Attorney Services
Grieve & Co can offer a range of services in relation to your Executry, Probate, Trust and Power of Attorney business to include; Fee Assessment (to include provision of a Certificate of Fee), Preparation of Accounts of Charge and Discharge, Calculation of Schemes of Division, and preparation of C1 and C5.
Remote Online Access Feeing
We currently work with several firms where by access their systems remotely online in order to prepare accounts. We have experience using systems such as Visual Files and we are also able to prepare accounts via file sharing systems.
In-House Feeing Service
Occasionally our clients find that preparation of accounts is best carried out within their own offices. In-house feeing can be invaluable in cases where there is an exceptional volume of accounts or involves matters of confidentiality. This service is only available by prior arrangement so please contact us to discuss your requirements in more detail.
